The Badaling Great Wall, located at the northern entrance of the Gungou Ancient Road in Junudu Mountain, Yanqing District, Beijing, the capital of China, is an important part of the Great Wall, a great defensive project of ancient China, and also a pass of the Ming Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall served as an important outpost of Juyong Pass, and was historically known as "the danger of Juyong is not in the pass but in Badaling," earning the reputation of "Jade Gate Heavenly Chasm" throughout the eight scenic spots of Juyong Pass during the Ming Dynasty.
