Traditional bamboo weaving techniques are not only practical handicrafts but also precious intangible cultural heritage, carrying rich cultural significance that is worth in-depth learning and passing on.
~ Workshop content:
Learn basic bamboo weaving techniques, including cross weave, pentagonal weave, and hexagonal weave methods.
Design different works, such as coasters, Shihaiho baskets, and small bamboo baskets, etc.
【Work Options】
Level 1 Works
(Production time: 2-2.5 hours)
Finished products available: Cross weave / Shihaiho basket / or Pentagonal weave
Level 2 Works
(Production time: 5 hours)
Finished product available: Hexagonal bamboo basket
Special note: Choosing this style requires an additional HK$100 payment at the workshop and an appointment for a subsequent time to complete the work.
