Its striking, contemporary design represents the aspirations of the recently independent nation. Thean Hou Temple is the next stop, and it is one of the oldest and largest temples in South East Asia. It is a renowned tourist destination located southwest of the city. The six-tiered Buddhist temple is also known as the Temple of Heaven's Goddess, who is thought to protect fisherman. A shrine to Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, is also there. Built in 1894 by KL's Hainanese minority, this hilltop structure gives spectacular views of the city. Later you will visit the Buddhist Maha Vihara , St Marry Church and Sikh Temple in the district of Brickfields.
