The zoo is home to about 450 species of animals, including Asian elephants, koalas, red pandas, and western gorillas. The observation deck is 100 meters above ground (180 meters above sea level), and offers a panoramic view of the city. If the weather is good, you can see Mount Ontake and the Suzuka Mountains in the distance.
