JR Kansai Hokuriku Pass allows for travel on various trains within the designated area. It covers reserved seats on the Bullet Train “Sanyo Shinkansen” which runs between Shin-Osaka and Okayama, including the Hello Kitty Shinkansen; the Bullet Train "Hokuriku Shinkansen" which runs between Kanazawa and Joetsu-Myoko. It also includes reserved seats on Express Trains such as Haruka, Kuroshio, Thumderbird, Kounotori, Super Hakuto(Kyoto⇔Kamigori). he pass is also valid on Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR West Conventional lines. JR Kansai Hokuriku Pass does not cover certain train services, including the Bullet Train "Tokaido Shinkansen" between Shin-Osaka and Tokyo; the Bullet Train "Sanyo Shinkansen" between Okayama and Hakata; and the Bullet Train "Hokuriku Shinkansen" between Joetsu-Myoko and Tokyo. And also not valid for the IR Ishikawa Railway or the Ainokaze Toyama Railway.
