The Hyukpil Class — meaning "leather brush" — is a hands-on Korean calligraphy experience rooted in traditional folk painting, Minhwa.
Held at HOEK, a private studio in Seoul, this program is for those drawn to the colorful Korean 'Saekdong' aesthetic who want to write their name or favorite word in Hangul.
The program begins with dressing in a traditional hanbok and enjoying tea and hangwa. After a demonstration by a young Hyukpil artisan, you will paint each stroke of Hangul in vivid color. No artistic skill or prior knowledge is required — a professional will guide you. Sessions are limited to 10 participants for personal guidance. Your completed work will be framed on-site, becoming a unique keepsake to remember your journey.
