Authentic Kintsugi Workshop: Art of Golden Joinery in Shibuya
Kintsugi is the art of breathing new life into broken pottery. In this introductory course, the process will be done with resin and ornamental gold powder.
Led by a team of artisans in an atelier dedicated to this beautiful Japanese craft, create your piece while being surrounded by larger, more intricate pieces made by Master Taku Nakano himself. Your piece can be completed in one session and you can bring it home the same day.
You have two options to choose from for this class: the standard Edo Komon plate, a beginner class best suited for budding kintsugi enthusiasts, and Yobitsugi, which incorporates more varied techniques and utilizes and combines materials of various other pieces
