About this experience
The workshop will be hosted at a small art gallery in Ginza, Tokyo. It is owned and operated by a master Akutsu-sensei, who will also be your instructor.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction into the history and concept of Nihonga. You will also get a crash course on Japanese mineral pigments (Iwa enogu), Painting tools (brush and scroll), and painting techniques.

You will choose an artwork to paint, and the master will give you step-by-step instructions on how to paint.
It is no problem if you are a beginner, the master has extensive experience with teaching students, including beginners, how to paint Nihonga.
You can also enjoy authentic Matcha green tea along with a Japanese-style sweet (Matcha-flavored cake).
