All the glam. Much sparkle. Sure Sydney has a lot to offer, but get out of the urban jungle and discover the other side to this glorious harbour city. Visit areas around Sydney you wouldn’t otherwise reach, take in a natural wonder or two and get your clink on in the vineyards of the Hunter Valley. Then we’ll bring you back to the bright lights for one more glimpse of that famous bridge and opera house.
It comes as no surprise that Sydney has some pretty iconic sights to see. We’ll take you to a spot in Kirribilli to get the very best views. Cue awesome photos of the local surfers as we check out the laidback lifestyle of Manly Beach before heading up the road to meet some local Aboriginal people. Think rock art and traditional stories. After a jam-packed day we’ll relax in Port Stephens for a filling feast and maybe even a ‘coldie’ at the local pub..

Port Stephens is pretty laid back. You could take it easy today on an optional dolphin cruise to catch a glimpse of these beautiful animals. Feeling more energetic? Hike to the top of Tomaree Head for sensational views, or take up some optional sand dune quad biking and sandboarding. Whatever you do, you’ll work up an appetite. Thankfully this place is known for its seafood, so be sure to check out one of the local restaurants for dinner.

Hunter Valley is synonymous with wine, so we’ll visit a local vineyard, a brewery, and get a chocolate tasting ticked off the list. You’ll even get to hop in an oak barrel and have a go at grape stomping. Talk about an awesome day! Make sure to leave enough space in your suitcase for some foodie souvenirs.

Brace yourself: some stunning scenery will be scrolling past your window today as we roll through the Greater Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Area. Follow in Darwin’s footsteps and tick off Govetts Leap, the Narrow Neck lookout and Katoomba Falls before watching a sunset that’ll leave you lost for words at Three Sisters. One word: wow.

Sure the Blue Mountains are gorgeous to just gawk at, but there are a whole load of activities on offer to try too. Optional abseiling take your fancy? For something a little less extreme, but still bound to get your heart racing, there’s the Scenic World Cable Car and a walk in the rainforest. Say goodbye to the Blue Mountains mid-afternoon, we’ll be tracking back to Sydney to round off our trip. Cue hugs and farewells to your fellow Topdeckers. Get planning that next adventure!
